Since graduating from Queen’s University Physical Therapy program in 2015, I have developed a keen interest in the physiotherapy approach to sports rehabilitation and concussion management. Having worked in Peterborough for the past 3 years in orthopaedic and musculoskeletal physical therapy, I am pleased to return to practice in Kingston.
I am passionate about advancing my professional skills in order better serve my clients and enhance my practice. To this end, I am completing advanced level manual therapy courses. My current certifications include APTEI Acupuncture, Complete Concussion Management and Soft Tissue Release.
Prior to completing my Physical Therapy degree, I gained valuable experience working as a Kinesiologist where I developed a wide repertoire of rehabilitative exercises and techniques. I believe in an active approach to rehabilitation, focusing on education, exercise and manual therapy to help my clients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
Outside of my professional practice, I remain very active playing Ultimate Frisbee year round. Throughout my university career I played varsity level Water Polo at both Western and Queen’s Universities where I was honoured to be awarded the Most Valuable Player with both teams. One of my most memorable achievements is when our team won a silver medal at the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) Championships in 2011. I plan to continue coaching, refereeing and playing with Queen’s University team in Kingston.
