Facial Nerve Paralysis / Palsy

partial facial nerve paralysis

Facial paralysis / palsy or facial asymmetries may result from the damage to the nerve that supplies your facial muscles by one of the following:

  • a virus (eg. Bell’s Palsy or Shingles);
  • a tumour (eg. Acoustic Neuroma);
  • facial trauma; or
  • medical treatment for another problem (radiation therapy, surgery)

At Best Health Physiotherapy Marguerite Daubney, PT, has post-graduate training and experience in neuromuscular facial retraining to assess and work with you as you recover from a facial paralysis.
